Saint Anthony Saint Anthony of Padua was known to have established orphanages in France and Italy and to have helped find Christian husbands for the widows of the crusaders. Popularly, he is implored to find lost objects and husbands! He is usually shown carrying the Christ child. As Cuchama was finishing the drawing of the child, a friend (who is an ardent devotee of the holy avatar) looked at the image and declared, "That's Si Baba! He's always showing up where you'd least expect him!" Saint Anthony looks surprised, too. His feast day is June 13. |
